Our Centre
With excellent accessible facilities, the latest assistive technology and a team of trained experienced assessors, we are ideally equipped for providing assessments for students who have applied for help in meeting the extra costs of study arising from a disability.
Offering up-to-date information on assistive technology, personal assistance and study strategies, CAC primary undertakes DSA assessments for the University of Cambridge, University of Essex and University of Suffolk, although ALL eligible students can receive assessments at ANY of our centres regardless of place of study. We simply find the right solutions to allow you to reach your true potential on your course.
ICT and assistive technology is available for evaluation including desktop and laptop PCs, Apple Macs, printers, scanners, CCTVs, posture aids, alternative keyboards, mouse alternatives, mind mapping software, text to speech systems, voice recognition, plus many other supportive applications and programmes.
All of our assessors have proven experience of conducting assessments over a broad range of disability. Each has a particular area of expertise in addition to considerable experience assessing and supporting students with SpLD (Specific learning difficulties).
